    Blogging Day of Silence.

As a mother I cannot even begin to express the heaviness in my heart in regards to Friday’s tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary. No words can do justice. So, I will be silent. In memory and respect of those precious little lives and those who died trying to protect them. Feel free to click on the graphic to donate to the United Way in honor of the victims and their families. Some other bloggers have organized the Sandy Hook Elementary Memorial Half Marathon and 5K. It’s a Virtual Half marathon or 5k, or whatever distance you’d like to run scheduled for January 31st – you can register HERE.

    STL Bloggers Meet Up

Holy wow. This weekend has been FULL of awesome STL experiences! It’s going to take a few posts to recap them all. Let’s rewind back to Friday. It was finally time for the first “official” meeting of the STL Bloggers! About a month ago I decided that we needed to start a group for bloggers in the STL area to connect. So I created the STL Bloggers group on facebook and invited the local bloggers I knew of… who invited more bloggers they knew of… and now we have nearly 50 members! So Friday I actually got “dressed up” in my new Altar’d State top (that gives back!), my Old…

5 Apps to Make Life Easier

Sometimes life can overwhelm me. I feel like I have so much to do that I never actually start doing any of it. I started trying to make lists, but always ended up losing them. Recently my saint of a husband got me an ipad and I started researching different apps to try to make life a little easier. There are SO many apps out there, but I am just going to share my top 5 Apps to Make Life Easier.     1. Buffer (Free)- This is an app that lets you schedule your tweets and facebook posts. I absolutely LOVE this. It allows me to be involved in social…

    10.11.12

Today is 10-11-12! How fun is that?! I feel like we should have a party… or a day off… or an all expenses paid trip to a beach resort… But we don’t. The closest thing I have to party right now is the Food Should Taste Good Prize Pack Giveaway – Don’t forget to enter! What else is going on today? I have an appointment with my Chiropractor to see what’s up with my shoulder. I actually got some decent sleep last night, but it was still painful. If you are in the O’Fallon, MO area and need a Chiropractor you have got to go to Back Pain Center. Dr. Matt…

5 years. We Eloped and survived!

5 years ago today I googled “preacher for wedding” 5 years ago I called the first guy I found and asked him if he could marry us. he said when. i said today. He laughed, but agreed. 5 years ago today I applied for a marriage license. 5 years ago today we eloped. It was the best decision, one we’ve never regretted (even though people swore we would). Since many of you weren’t around when I wrote the story of how we met, fell in love, and eloped – I decided today would be an appropriate day to share it. Enjoy! Original Post from June 7, 2011 So it was around…

Hey Friends! I had some server issues yesterday, so in case you missed it be sure to check out my Pretty Muddy Recap (with awesome video footage!) Thanks for stopping by for coffee! I’m in desperate need of an extra cup today. I have been totally hooked on Green Mountain’s Pumpkin Spice coffee lately. Don’t tell anyone, but I actually hide my box of Pumpkin Spice K-cups so I am less likely to have to share… If we were having coffee today I would tell you that I actually got semi dressed up today. And when the daughter saw me she kept insisting we had to be going somewhere. No,…

    Coffee Date!

Good morning, dreamers! This morning it is overcast and cool here in St Louis! I feel fall coming on!! I was excited because it was the perfect excuse to wear my new North Face Fleece that I ordered from Zappos this week. I also made a cup of Pumpkin Spice Coffee with So Delicious Coconut Creamer. Bring on the hayrides and bonfires! I know it’s been awhile since we had coffee. I didn’t get a chance to do a vlog- so we will do it “old school” style. If we were having coffee today I would tell you I got my hair cut this week! It is short again! I…

Random! (Clutter, Zensah, and Disc Golf)

Voting is still open for the Promax DOer contest. Please take a quick second and vote for me HERE. Read Why this means so much to me and remember you can vote once per day per IP address until 9/21 Howdy Partners! Man, this week has been tough for me. Coming back from a week long business trip, starting another term of school, not feeling 100%… It all adds up pretty quick. Sometimes I start to feel overwhelmed. Normal weeks I go on a 2 mile run with the kiddo after my early CrossFit workouts, but this week that only happened once. I just needed to take some time to regroup I guess.…
