Why I blog
When I started my blog in January of 2010 it was a way to write out my thoughts, because somehow they made more sense that way. There was a deep sense of self-revelation that came when my fingers started typing. I was majorly preggo and freaking out about having a kid. and trying to figure life out. and then she came. and life got busy. and this place became somewhere to share my memories and life. and then there was that one time I thought I was going to be a craft blogger. ha. that was funny. then began my “lose the baby weight/weight from before the baby” project. I…

U Design Jewelry Review & Giveaway
When it comes to Jewelry and accessories I have never really been on the cutting edge… I actually tend to be more sentimental about jewelry. I love having beautiful pieces that have a story behind them. Some of my favorite pieces are rings that got passed down from both of my grandmothers. They hold a story. Jewelry doesn’t have to be old to have a story, you can create your pieces that tell your story. That’s why I love U Design Jewelry! U Design Jewelry is the brain child of one of my CrossFit friends, Jennifer. She founded the company with her husband in 2002 after learning from a friend…

Wide Open Baja – Driving Day 1
At the end of last summer we were talking with one of the clients we work with about setting big goals. Chris had been watching some videos of Baja Racing and suggested that we set some BHAGs (Big Hairy Audacious Goals) with a goal of taking a Team trip with Wide Open Baja. Well, we set some goals… and in complete honesty… I didn’t think we would meet them. We set 5 goals with guidelines that meeting 3 of them would get us there. We met 2 of them pretty quickly, and right as the deadline approached we met the 3rd. We were going Baja Racing! I really had no…

Coffee Date: Currently
Hey Friends, happy Friday! It’s been a crazy few days over here! I’m currently in Mexico. We started off by flying to San Diego, which is absolutely beautiful! Then we took a bus across the boarder and drove into Ensenada to start our 2 day driving adventure. We are driving Baja Desert Buggies across Baja before heading back to San Diego for a day and then back to St Louis. I am currently really excited about our adventure. To be honest I was hesitant about it because I’ve never driven a manual car. Like ever. I’d say I did pretty good, only stalled it out like 5 times. Ha. So…

Random Favorite Things
I’m in a totally random and weird mood. I’ve got a lot on my mind so this is going to be a bit of a brain dump with a general category of my favorite things. Continue if you dare… It started to snow again last night. This morning I got up and got dressed for CrossFit but checked outside and didn’t think it was a good idea to be out on the roads at 430am… it was probably ok, looks slushy now, but I’m not a fan of driving in the snow at all. I mean, I grew up in Florida! I’d rather be safe than sorry. Hopefully it stays…

Nature’s Sleep Memory Foam Slippers
Working from home has it’s advantages and disadvantages. Despite what people may think, I don’t sit around all day in my PJs. I actually get dressed (even if it is just in a fresh pair of workout clothes…) but I don’t usually wear shoes. I sometimes find that my little toes get cold and need a little protection when taking the dogs out or checking the mail. I never quite found the right match of a slipper that would keep my feet warm as well as be durable enough to last through a lot of trips to the mailbox. That is until I received Nature’s Sleep Memory Foam Slippers to…

Costa Rica White Water Rafting
So, you know how I was freaked out about riding ATVs? And How I redeemed myself by not freaking out at all while ziplining? Yea… I was SO freaked out about White Water Rafting. More than the ATVs. When it came to rafting we were at the total mercy of mother nature. I couldn’t control the gas pedal or feel safe in my harness. I was sitting on the edge of an inflatable raft with my foot tucked under a simple strap to “keep me in” …. uhhhhh what?! Rewind…. We got picked up to go rafting, brought to the local office to fill out paperwork (aka – sign your…

Top 10 Things Every Woman Should Know About Crossfit {guest post}
I’m Pamela Kramer and after Crossfitting for more than two years now I feel more equipped to give some good solid advice. Due to an injury I’m on the outside looking in so I have a great deal of time to think. Some days this is good and some days it’s full throttle frustration! For me Crossfit has been such a great form of stress relief, a way to get a little me time and I sleep so much better. I’m not a youngster with a hard body doing Crossfit like you might have heard about. Nope, in fact I’m a married forty year old mother of four, who works…

Happy New Year- 2012 in Review
Happy New Year!! I can’t believe it is 2013. Sometimes I still think the 90’s were 10 years ago. Weird, I know. How did you ring in the New Year? We hung around the house with friends, played monopoly, and watched the ball drop (at 11…) and then at 12 we went out the garage and did a little workout. I practiced my double unders, and got 2! BAM! This is going to be the year of conquering the double under! I will RX a workout with Double Unders! The hubs threw the weights around for a bit but I wasn’t feeling it… it was after 12am after all… Looking…
