    Coffee Date: Progress

hello friday, it’s so nice to see you. I’m excited for our coffee date today. Not just because I get to spend time with you, but also because I NEED THE COFFEE! today i’m using the extra large mickey cup, dreaming of being at disney world. Little Dreamer is eating up some greek yogurt in the background (making a huge mess)  if we were having coffee today i would apologize profusely for the mess around here, it’s just one of those days seasons. I would tell you that I struggle with the fact that I can’t do it all by myself. I put so much pressure on myself to keep…

    Ready for Coffee?

hello friends. happy friday! ready for some coffee? grab a cup and scoot up close so we can chat. if we were having coffee today i would first have to apologize because i started without you. i would probably start our date off by complaining about how sore i am after yesterdays CrossFit WOD. Then laugh as I tell you I loved it. I would tell you how actually making the effort to eat right and work out hard isn’t as difficult as people think it is. I would complain there are a ton more dishes and meals take more time to prepare, but I feel satisfied and energized. I…

    Coffee Date?

hello dreamers. i’m so thankful it’s friday. sorry that i’ve been MIA this week, it has just been one crazy week (or maybe a string of crazy weeks all in a row…) but coffee makes everything better. So let’s have a coffee date. If we were having coffee I would tell you that I’m finally feeling “normal” after a week of feeling down and out. I feel like my soul is craving something… but not quite sure what. I fought some serious self doubt this week. Today I finally started feeling like I was winning. If we were having coffee I would tell you that my workout and diet have…

    Saturday

The sun shines in the window more brightly than I’m used it. I glance at my phone, it’s after 9am! At first I’m concerned that we’ve slept so late, but as I assess my surroundings and realize all is well my concern turns to pride. It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to sleep this late! I roll out of bed, take a shower and get dressed. I go to Little Dreamer’s room and find her laying in bed reading a book, she smiles big and says “Hi Mommy!” I take her downstairs to make breakfast. First things first, pop a kcup in the keurig. The sound of…

    Weekend Dreams

Hello lovelies! I can’t believe it’s already Sunday night. Before I started working from home I used to say that weekends melted into the week for me. Now that I work from home during the week, I cherish the weekends more than ever. They are very sacred. There was a period of time in our “newlywed” days when weekends meant sleeping in, going out to breakfast (usually cracker barrel) and exploring. It was everything I had dreamed weekends with a handsome husband would be.   Now “sleeping in” means waking up around 7:30-8am, going out to breakfast is a special treat, and there is a long list of “must do’s”…

Rest, Bloggy Boot Camp, & InstaFriday

Every friend, without fail, I get Rebecca Black’s song “Friday” stuck in my head (Now I know it’s in yours too… sing with me… “It’s Friiiday Friiiday…”) Anyway, this week has been restful. I went on a short run/walk with the dog on Wednesday early in the morning, but other than that I’ve allowed myself the freedom to just rest. I started training last summer for the Marathon, then a few weeks after the marathon I started training for the half. Sunday I finished my first half-marathon, and not “having” to train for something has been a welcomed rest. I knew that if I gave myself the week off from…

    InstaFriday!

Happy Friday!! This week went by way too fast. It probably feels like that because I have been SO anxious for this weekend (its my half-marathon that I feel unprepared for). I feel like it has been a full week too. We are getting stuff done here in Normanland… Random Spring Cleaning/Organizing… Changing Banks…. Getting Passport Applications ready to submit for our Norman Family Vacation in January (yeehaw, Costa Rica!)… and sticking to the Gluten Free lifestyle successfully (i’ll do a full update on that next week). Now that you’ve read about our week, here are some random instagrams from the week. I’m linking up to InstaFriday at Life Rearranged!…
