Staying Fit with Lorna Jane #HolidayFitList #SweatPink
With the Christmas season already upon us everyone seems to be making their list and checking it twice! I was excited when I was invited to share my list as a part of the #HolidayFitList campaign with Lorna Jane Active and Sweat Pink. The truth is Lorna Jane has been on my wish list for a long time. I absolutely love the colors, designs, and inspiration I see from them online. Their mission statement really resounds with me Our mission is to inspire women to live their best life through Active Living. One of my top 5 tips for staying active this holiday season is to have cute clothes to…

Fabletics- Nadi Legging Review
Being a CrossFit coach I’m always in my workout clothes. It is super important for me to have activewear that fits, flatters, but most of all is functional. Fashion is always a plus. I’ve had my share of phases with workout gear. I have tried just about everything under the sun. The truth is I like variety. I wear 1 outfit to WOD in after coaching morning classes and another outfit in the evening to coach in. Sometimes I wear clothes a time or two before washing, but most times I can’t stomach it. I also don’t do laundry as often as I should. By the end of the week…

A little bit of everything…
Oh Hey there. Remember me? I almost forgot how to write. Seriously, Life has been crazy. Let’s try to do a quick update here… CrossFit 70 is growing! We have a tiny space, like 700 square feet. So as the classes grow the space seems smaller and smaller. Well, we are moving! Just down to the other end of the building but it is over double the size! We are going to be building a second bathroom and… A SHOWER! We will have so much more space, a lobby and front entrance (we were previously just in the back bay instead of having a storefront). This means we are going…

BAMR Bands Review and Giveaway
Hey Friends! How was your week? I had all intentions of blogging more, but it was just one of those weeks. Let’s just say Amen that it’s Friday and celebrate with something fun…. Like a post about cute headbands and a chance for you to win one of your own! Katie, a fellow Fitfluential and Sweat Pink Ambassador, created BAMR Bands Non-Slip Headbands in January of this year after looking for cute fitness headbands and not finding what she was looking for. She is a momma to a little boy and has another on the way. Mad props to a momma who is a full time momma and business owner, that’s…

Coffee Date
Well good morning, friends! It’s friday, that means it’s time for our coffee date! It also means it is the 4th morning in a row I’ve stayed home with Poor Payt. She is definitely getting better it is just taking for-freaking-ever. I usually coach the 5am class on Fridays but Chris took it for me since we weren’t sure how Payt would be feeling this morning. I went in to check on her around 6 (normal mornings we are up by 5:30am and at the gym by 6) and she was still wheezing and so out of it. So I let her sleep. Until she popped up around 7 and…

How To Be Intentional With Your Health this Holiday Season
So we’re going on our third morning of staying home from CrossFit. Payton is feeling much better, but still not 100%. At this point its just a whole lot of congestion. She coughed so hard last night she threw up. I hate it when she’s sick! I also hate missing out on Mornings at the box, I highly prefer morning workouts. But she should be back to normal soon, I hope. I’ve been thinking a lot about my “word of the year” – I didn’t set a bunch of huge goals for the year but just wanted to focus on being intentional. I think I’ve been pretty good about this.…

Sick Days
On Monday Payton woke up with a bit of a scratchy throat. It went away after a few hours, but I knew it’d be back. Yesterday she woke up and squeaked “Mama, I’m sad because I’m hot” Yup. Fever and congestion. So for the first time in a loooooong time I stayed home from CrossFit with her. I hardly knew what to do with myself with a few extra hours in the morning. She started to get better throughout the day, but it’s so hard seeing her sick. I felt off all day too because I didn’t get my morning work out in. Since she was feeling better we went…

QALO Rings #commitmentiscontagious
I was browsing around facebook (probably when I was supposed to be doing something important…but I digress) and I came across a link to QALO Ring website. I watched this video and was immediately interested in the concept. You see, the hubs and I are always at CrossFit. When it comes to doing CrossFit, wearing wedding rings isn’t the best idea. They can get damaged on the barbell or pull up bar or worse… your ring could get stuck on the bar and possibly hurt you. Plus it’s irritating. At least it was for me. Not to mention the hubs and I have both lost a significant amount of weight…

Meal Planning and Staying on Track
I don’t dread Mondays as much as some people do. I usually look forward to getting back to my workouts after a day off on Sunday. This week I’m still pretttttty sore from Saturdays WOD. It was the Hero WOD DT which is: 5 rounds of 12 Deadlifts 155/105 9 Hang Cleans 155/105 6 Push Jerks 155/105 105 is a light deadlift for me, but 105 hang cleans would get tough after a few rounds and 105 push jerks were going to be tough. I did it. And I was SO proud that I was able to do it RX. But man, oh man, did I feel it the next…

Coffee Date
Hey Friends. Thanks for stopping by for coffee. If we were having coffee I would thank you for sticking with me through this new season of life. I know things have been busy and I haven’t been posting as much as I’d like to. I still enjoy sharing life and my journey with you. I’d admit that seeing my page views and comments dive was hard to handle. I understand people want consistency, but I just wasn’t at a place to offer at that. As much as blog readers look at bloggers and think we all have it together, sometimes we just don’t. I started this blog with the intentions…
