    The Countdown is On…

So once upon a time I spent my entire summer training harder than ever for this one CrossFit competition…. I got frustrated with my nutrition and hired a nutrition coach, and walked into his office telling him my goal was to be in the best shape possible for this competition…. I struggled and overcame. I’ve had ups and downs. I even did a tiny local competition as a part of my training for this competition… and, uh, this competition thing? It’s on SUNDAY. As in like 5 days away. I’m excited. Slightly Nervous. But mostly excited. We’ve known the workouts for about a month, and I’m fairly confident in my abilities…

Dirty Girl Mud Run St Louis 2013

Oh hey, world. I’m just a week late on my recap… no big deal. Last week I participated in the Dirty Girl Mud Run with some of my favorite girls, and it was a BLAST! We met up at CrossFit 70 to carpool over since parking was $10 a car. We were registered for the 9:30am wave and we got there a little after 8am. When we arrived there was seriously like NO line at all and we were through registration in less than 10 minutes. One of our girls was meeting us there and got there a little before 9am and the line was crrrraaazy. The lesson? Get there early!!…

Good news is tomorrow is Friday already! And you know what is this weekend? Dirty Girl! I have a fun group of ladies from CrossFit teaming up with me to do it. It is going to be a blast and I can’t wait! Since in my head it still feels like Wednesday I’m going to chat a little bit about my progress. I’m in a weird place. Fitness: Fashion and Function

Owning a CrossFit Affiliate means a huge part of my day is spent in workout gear. Ok, let’s get real… even when I’m not at CrossFit I’m still in my workout gear. So having workout gear that is functional is a must, but I want it to be fashionable too! When I look good, I feel good. When I feel good I perform better. So today I want to share some of my favorite finds when it comes to Fitness Fashion and Function! First I want to tell you about Ellie. You may have heard of it previously as PV Body. I know a lot of bloggers have worked with…

    Coffee Date

Oh hey friends. I know I know, it’s Sunday… but I still want to have a coffee date with you! If we were having coffee I would tell you it has been so dang hot out that I have been thankful for this little package sent to me from the wonderful folks at Keurig Brew Over Ice! Not only do they have awesome flavors of already sweetened ice coffee, they have all other sorts of cold drinks like lemonade and iced tea. It’s super simple to make, just like the name says… put the k-cup in and brew it over a glass of ice! Pretty neat, right? Check them out…

The Truth About Weight Loss: Extra Skin

Can life just slow down for a minute? A day? Most days we are going non-stop from 5am-8pm. Running two businesses, taking college classes, along with being a parent/wife/friend leaves little to no time for other things. So I may miss a day or two of posting. I used to feel guilty about that… but then I realized that is just pressure I’m putting on myself. I love blogging, I just need to figure out how to make time for it in this season of life. This may mean my posts are scattered throughout the week instead of every weekday morning. I love blogging and the things it has allowed…

    Project: Simplify – Master Bath

*tap, tap* Is this thing on? Sorry I missed you the last few days. Life is busy and sometimes time with family beats out time blogging. We actually went to a local campground this weekend and spent a night camping (in a cabin, but still) It was more fun than I expected it to be, honestly. Check out my instagram for some fun pics of the adventures! Now onto our Monday series- Project: Simplify I finally took all the toys from Payton’s room out to Once Upon a Child (while she was at Grandmas, ha!) and sold a bunch and made $80 and donated the rest. It felt SO good! Now…

    Owning Your Journey

Sometimes I have things planned out to write about. Today was one of those days where I had something totally different scheduled but when I read this post called “of tiny pink dumbbells and fat chicks” I felt inspired to write something totally different. So here we go… when i first started trying to lose weight i thought i could just drop the weight and be done with it. i’d be a before and after. i’d have one of those wildly successful blogs where i shared all my secrets. i’d get to my “goal weight” and then be able to eat whatever i want and live happily ever after. ha.…
