Coffee Date
Happy Valentine’s Day!! I hope you know how much you’re loved today. I’m thankful for every one of you who read this. Thankful that you have connected with my story, as crazy as it is sometimes. Since you are here, let’s have coffee! //instagram.com/p/kaPDErjIsH/embed/ If we were having coffee today I would offer you a Kill Cliff instead. I used to have an afternoon cup of coffee but since I’ve been back on my meal plan I haven’t felt like I needed or wanted it. I have, however, been feeling extra sore. This would be thanks to 95 lb front rack lunges yesterday and today’s saucy WOD //instagram.com/p/kZv-pdDIjc/embed/ Yes, that…

Progress Isn’t Linear
I had some amazing love and response to my recent post about pressing pause on this journey. I’m glad I’m not the only one who gets overwhelmed with everything and just needs to breathe. It was really nice to not care for a little bit. To be honest, I’m pretty sure this horrid winter had a huge effect on my mentality. Seasonal Affective Disorder is a real thing people! Especially for this Florida girl. The snow and frigid temperatures really messed with my mental health! Anyway, here I am back on track. I’ve started my new meal plan with Precision Fitness STL. Ever since I started working with Jamie I…

Press Pause.
Somedays I feel like I’m on top of the world. I’ve worked so hard and come so far and I know that. I celebrate my victories and progress. I’m a completely different person than I was 4 years ago. Hell, I’m a different person than I was 8 months ago. Focusing on these victories make it easy to keep on keeping on. I’ve lost roughly 60 lbs and 4 sizes. I’ve conquered fears and found confidence. and I feel unstoppable. Thanks, CrossFit. ha. But then there are other days… Days when I struggle with how far I have to go. Days when I think I should be further by now.…

#workingonmyselfie {giveaway}
The longer I’m on this journey the more I realize the importance of community. It sounds weird that you could really find support and encouragement in an online group, but that has been one of the biggest influences in my health journey. When I started this journey it was a bunch of weight loss and running bloggers that I followed. I felt like I knew these people. Bloggers pour their heart and soul out on to the screen. They share their triumphs and failures. Along the way there have been several bloggers that I have felt like I really “clicked” with. You know, the ones who if they ever knew…

Disney Junior Live On Tour – St Louis 2/8/14
It’s no secret that our family absolutely looooooves Disney. It’s more of an obsession at this point. In just about a week we will be setting sail on our first ever cruise, a Disney Cruise! I’m positive that it will make us even more obsessed with all things Disney. They are good at what they do. The hubs and I have passed on our obsession to our daughter. Her 4th birthday is coming up next month and we want to do something special. It seems like Disney was aware of this and scheduled their St Louis stop on their Disney Junior Live on Tour right around her birthday. It was…

What a Year.
I’ve drafted my sentimental year end post in my head a million times. The truth is my head is still not wrapped around the idea that the year is over. It has been a complete whirlwind of a year. Last year I wrote about how I wanted to RX a WOD with Double Unders – and I did several times! I’m still not great at them… but I met my one concrete goal I set for CrossFit. For 2013 I didn’t set any specific resolutions, instead I chose a word to focus on: Intentional. I wanted to be intentional in my training, my eating, and my relationships. I feel like…

Measuring Progress
Good Morning, Friends. I hope you all are doing well! I miss spending time in this little space. It really helps me process so much of my own thoughts and track my progress. I know it is the time of year when many people are reflecting on their progress throughout the year and planning their goals for 2014. I’ve been thinking a lot about that lately. 2013 has been a hard year. Not a bad year, but a hard one. We took on a huge responsibility by opening CrossFit 70, still maintain our other full time business, we are both in the last stretch of getting our Bachelors degree, plus…

It Works! Wrap Review (from a skeptic)
I’ve been on this health journey for quite sometime. I’ve lost a significant amount of fat and have been very open about my issues with sagging skin. I know there is no “miracle cure” and I’ve been a pretty hard core skeptic when it comes to products that claim to give miraculous results. I’ve also been known to have an intense dislike for anything in a Multi-Level Marketing format. So when I started seeing things for It Works! Products to say I was a skeptic would be a severe understatement. When I saw one of my very level headed, intelligent, and hilarious friends, Angelina, start posting that she was a…
