Coffee Date, Life

Coffee Date

Oh hey friends. I know I know, it’s Sunday… but I still want to have a coffee date with you! If we were having coffee I would tell you it has been so dang hot out that I have been thankful for this little package sent to me from the wonderful folks at Keurig Brew Over Ice!

Not only do they have awesome flavors of already sweetened ice coffee, they have all other sorts of cold drinks like lemonade and iced tea. It’s super simple to make, just like the name says… put the k-cup in and brew it over a glass of ice! Pretty neat, right? Check them out on facebook, twitter, and pinterest as they always have fun things going on over there (like Givewaways!!)

Anyway, if we were having coffee I would tell you about how I’ve been trying to focus on the small things lately. I don’t want to get so caught up in the big picture that I forget to live in the now and enjoy the time. Several nights this week I decided not to stress about dishes and cleaning but just go to bed. And I’ve been sleeping well! I’m working on being more grateful for what I do have, like delicious coffee, and not worry about the things I don’t have. I want to learn to find joy in the small things, ya know?

Sometimes I feel like I spend my life counting down to something while the right now passes me by. Vacation is 139 days away, but what am I going to do with those 139 days? Are they just going to be a big blur? I don’t want to wish away my life, I want to soak it in. Enjoy our late starts to Sunday mornings. Enjoy even the most mundane tasks like grocery shopping and meal prep because I am blessed enough to have the time, money, and able body to do such things for my family.

Speaking of my family, I want to be sure I’m honoring my time with them too. Lately I’ve been trying to keep my phone put away at meal times and not laying in bed on my phone. If you see a little less social media action, that’s why. I love what I do here, but I want to make sure I’m giving my family the attention they deserve from me too.

And since you guys are awesome and hear me babble on and on week after week, I want you to be able to experience an awesome coffee date courtesy of Brew over Ice! Enjoy!

  1. I love coffee! Doesn’t matter if it’s hot or cold. Since I live in Texas, typically we have cold coffee June – Labor Day then switch back to hot for the rest of the year. Love your blog and your love of cross fit.

  2. The only over ice k-cups I’ve tried so far were the Hazelnut iced coffee ones and the flavor of that variety was just a little too nutty for me. I’d definitely love to try some other flavors especially that Snapple Peach Iced Tea!
