Red Envelope Review
Last month I was invited to order and review from Shari’s Berries. It was such a fun experience, I mean who doesn’t love chocolate covered strawberries! The same people who operate that site also operate Red Envelope, a wonderful site full of great gift ideas. They sent me my gift code and within minutes I was clicking away on their site. I had previously heard of Red Envelope but had never really explored the site myself. They have categories for just about everyone! I was immediately drawn into the jewelry section (ooh, something shiny!) I absolutely loved that their products were not only beautiful, but many of them were…

Zombie Survival Dash STL Race Recap
Months and months ago I came across the Zombie Survival Dash 5k. I saw they were coming to St Louis and I was SO excited because I thought “Finally, a run I can convince my husband to sign up to run with me!” (He has run 2 other 5k’s before this one, but this was the “first” one I got him to agree to!) The registration fee was pretty steep for a 5k at $75, but for something as cool as a Zombie run I finally agreed. $150 later I had high hopes for this race. Fast forward several months and race day is almost here. Despite the constant posting…

Awhile back I was asked if I’d like to participate in a blogger program that would allow me to sample some awesome products from the Pro Flowers Family of websites. Of course, I had to say yes! It was right around our anniversary time, so It was perfect timing! I hopped on the Shari’s Berries Website and was pleased at the great selection. They had cute seasonal items. I decided on some dipped strawberries with fall themed cake pops. I also couldn’t resist the add on of chocolate covered oreos. It was super simple to place the order, and it arrived a few days later. I hadn’t told my husband because…

Earth Yoga Clothing Review
Awhile back I was contacted by a company asking if I was interested in reviewing some organic workout gear. I sent them my sizes and actually forgot about it until the package from Earth Yoga Organic arrived in my mailbox. Let me preface this by saying I was pretty skeptical at the idea of “organic” clothing being any different from non-organic clothing. I thought they just charged more for organic, but you wouldn’t be able tell the difference. When I opened up the package I immediately felt a difference. The organic cotton is seriously so soft, it felt like silk! I found a pair of Om Capri’s and a Bhudda In Flight…

BodyMedia Fit Review
Just over a month ago I got in contact with Body Media about reviewing their Body Media Fit Link Armband. Two days later I got a package in the mail containing the goodies! I’ve always been interested in products like this, especially watching Biggest Loser and other weight loss show contestants use similar products. I wondered if they really worked or if it was just hype. Before I did a full BodyMedia Fit Review, I wanted to give it a fair shot. So I used it consistently for a month. The first week or so it was different getting used to it. The armband works in conjunction with an online tracking system. They…

Pound the Pavement 5k Recap
We did it! Payton and I completed our first 5k together! It was a blast too. There is something so refreshing about a small no-frills local race. There were maybe 200 people there for both the 5k and 10k. We arrived early and walked around a bit to warm up. Before the race even started she was asking where the finish line was so she could get her trophy… HA! We started out in the back with a few other strollers. This race was very punctual, 8:00am on the dot and with a quick 3-2-1 go and we were off! I actually started out pretty fast for me and was…

Headbands of Hope
Hey guys! Happy Monday! How was your weekend? We had a pretty good weekend over here… it included much needed rain, a little CrossFit workout named FRAN (if you don’t know, Fran is one of the most notorious CrossFit workouts. It’s killer. 21-15-9 Thrusters and Pull ups), 2 seasons of The Colony on Netflix and a 2.3 mile run on Sunday. Today I have something special to share with you. I starting noticing some other bloggers talking about Headbands of Hope and I was intrigued. After looking into it I knew I had to share it too. Headbands of Hope is a handmade business that sells Headbands (obviously). It was…
