My A-HA! Moment and BodyMedia

Awhile ago I posted about getting accepted to be a #SweatPink ambassador. It has been so awesome being a part of a community of like minded women who are all enthusiastic about fitness. I love that they are spreading the message that you can be tough and girly at the same time. I lift heavy weights while wearing pink wrist wraps!

Well, I’m excited to tell you guys that today my fitness a-ha moment is being shared over on the Fit Approach blog! Make sure you check it out! If you are visiting me from Fit Approach, welcome! Feel free to browse around the site, add me to your google reader or subscribe via email on the right sidebar.

Also- I wanted to share something I’m pretty excited about… I am in the process of trying out the BodyMediaFit Link Armband to do a full review on it (disclosure- I was provided this product at no charge in exchange for my honest opinion)

So far it has been very interesting to see the data it collects. It uses four different sensors to track your calories burned and it has a subscription service you can use to log your food as well. Even after wearing it for just a day I find that it does help keep me mindful of my activity level. This version actually links to my iPhone via bluetooth and I can see my data realtime throughout the day after downloading the app. I can’t wait to see the result I get from tracking calories and food more closely with this.

Here is a snapshot of my data from my phone after my workout this morning. Already on track to get my burn in, yes!

What tools do you use to help track food/exercise? Does seeing something visually help you track progress?

  1. That’s awesome! Congrats on becoming a SPA!

I use fitbit to track my calories and steps, but sometimes I wonder about it’s accuracy.

  2. Hello sweat pink sister!!
I use MyFitnessPal to track my calories and protein on my phone and also a mileage app to track when I walk or run!!! That looks like an awesome tool though’
