Oh glorious friday. I’m so glad you’re here, I love our Friday Coffee Dates! Grab your favorite mug, pull up a chair and let’s chat.
If we were having coffee I would tell you that I am looooving my new hair cut! Short is in! I’m still figuring out the best way to keep it out of my face for workouts, but pinning it back has seemed to work well so far. It is so fun and sassy! And bonus… It only took me about 5 minutes to dry it this morning. I didn’t even “have” to flat iron it. Perfect for my go go go lifestyle. Speaking of go go go… this little one is always on the go.
Why oh why does she look so grown up all of a sudden? We have been talking about putting her in “school” a few days a week and she has been so good about her potty problems lately that we decided to do it. My baby starts preschool on monday!!! AHH. It’s only half days 2x a week, but still… I can’t believe it. If we were having coffee I would tell you that I’m a bit nervous about it only with the realization that I can no longer completely control the environment she is in. It’s hard to realize you can’t protect them from everything/everyone. I know she will be fine and have a blast… but with school comes peer pressure, cliques, and all that fun stuff. Can’t avoid it forever I suppose.
If we were having coffee I would tell you that I am feeling pretty darn amazing with my nutrition plan. I know I ned to go over it more in depth, and I will after my first check in next tuesday. I would tell you that I surprised myself recently when I was trying to think of things I was “missing” or craving and I couldn’t think of a single thing that sounded irresistible Pizza sounded good for a second, and so did ice cream… but after a minute or two of thinking about it I was like Eh…. I could do with out it. WHO AM I?! I would also tell you that I realized I am making more progress than I give myself credit for. I may not be dropping the LBS like I want to but hello smaller waist, flatter tummy, and bigger arms!
Hard to believe those first set of pictures were my “after” pictures for my Whole30. My shorts fit a ton better, with less muffin top. My waist is considerably smaller. and my shoulders look freaking huge. and you know what?
I weighed less than .5 lbs different in each of these pictures. I was 187.6 on 5/1 and 188 on 6/19. The scale doesn’t tell you about fat loss or muscle gain. I’m thankful my husband hid it.
Your turn. if we were having coffee – What would you tell me? What is on your mind this first day of summer?
linking up with alissa.
PS- Please Please Please don’t forget to check out my CrossFit for Hope post and donate if you can. Even if it is just $1… anything helps! I promise to repay you by doing tons of burpees & thrusters during the WOD event!
Well, if we were having coffee, I would tell you that your hair is adorable, and I’m glad that you like it. That I’m super excited for the weekend so I can spend time with friends.
I would tell you that I’m nervous about my upcoming procedure and terrified about what the recovery time is going to mean for my running.
I would also tell you that it’s been a long time since I’ve had caffeine and that I miss it, and this is just what I needed!
Have a great weekend!

If we were having coffee, I’d vent and complain a little bit about how much of a funk I’m in. Unmotivated, feeling lazy…. I just can’t get my butt out to do anything! Funks are rough. That’s for sure.
And then I’d tell you how much your daughter looks like you 🙂 Except blonde, of course!

I’m working with a nutrition coach now on an individualized plan focused on measuring my macro intake, so right now 45% of my calories are coming from Carbs, 35 from protein, and 20% from healthy fats. Working with a nutrition coach helps me dial it in for what works for my body!
