A few weeks ago I was sent a Zensah Seamless Power Jacket to try out and review. I was so excited about this opportunity because I already love my Zensah Compression Sleeves and knew the jacket would be great as well. They also have some pretty sleek color combinations. I resisted the normal urge to go all pink and decided to go with the black with pink accents.
It is one sexy running jacket. The bubble gum zipper is such a fun pop of color. The top of the zipper has a zipper garage (didn’t know that was the official name for the fabric that keeps the zipper from pinching you… but how cool is that?) so the zipper doesn’t bite your neck. The fabric is super soft, moisture wicking, anti-microbial, has 4 way stretch and is breathable. I love that it keeps you warm but doesn’t suffocate you. I’ve been using it on my runs when it is in the upper 30’s to 40’s with a long sleeve underneath and it is the perfect temperature balance.
I love how slimming it is. It fits wonderfully and moves with you. It doesn’t ride up like some running jackets I’ve used before. It is long and stays in place. It also has thumbholes, a personal favorite of mine. My hands are pretty chilly at the start of the the run and usually just tuck my fingers in until I warm up. It has a secure zipper pocket on the bottom of the right side on the back (with another bubble gum colored zipper!) and also has reflective logos for extra visibility.
Overall, I’m in love with this jacket. I’ve worn it to CrossFit several times and it works great throughout the warm up too. It moves with me. I’m also certain it helped me set a new 10k PR! If you’re looking for a running jacket I highly suggest this one. Also, if you’re in the market for any kind of compression gear be sure to check them out. I’m a huge fan of their compression sleeves!
What’s your favorite piece of fit gear?
I was sent this jacket in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own!
Cute jacket! Looks like it would be great for spring, or as you said, those little chilly days where you don’t need full on winter gear.
I love compression capris with a fitted top – I also got a Nike running jacket that I can’t detach myself from. But all fitness gear is great. It would be the only clothes in my wardrobe, if I could get away with it!

Seriously, why can’t spandex and compression gear be acceptable everywhere?

Love it!
I have an Adidas zip-up that has been my favorite lately for Crossfit. It’s a spring jacket (but has thumbholes and a hood, for whatever reason), so it’s perfect to throw on in the winter for after class when you’re super sweaty, but know you shouldn’t go outside in a tank top in freezing weather..
