Hey Friends! Happy Friday! So excited that you stopped by to join me for coffee. If you are stopping by from the link up with Alissa from Rags to Stitches be sure to leave a comment with your Coffee Date link so I can come join you too!
So yes, this week we are SNOWED IN! Payton was excited about all the snow and wanted to go play. And then I realized she had no snow pants or shoes. So we layered up and made due with what we had… and she had a blast.
Looking through the eyes of a 3 year old makes snow days so much more fun than getting upset about not being able to go to CrossFit for 2 days.
Anyway- back to coffee date… grab a cup o joe and let’s chat!
Are you snowed in? If we were having coffee – What would you tell me?
roads look like they’re cleared now! thank goodness – i went a little stir crazy yesterday! i did go out for a walk though in the snow and it was HARD!!!

I’m jealous you’re snowed in. The fact that I live downtown Chicago does not help; it snowed a bunch last night but there’s barely any snow on the ground now, at least here. 😦

So no snow days for you? We actually got out today- just the neighborhood roads are still bad…

I miss snow days! I could prob. take one from work if I was os inclined, but we just haven’t had that much snow. (Let’s not jinx it though. I live in a downtown town area on a one way street where people already have trouble parking!)
If we were to have a cup of coffee, I’d first suggest you join me in my Kahlua flavored coffee and a sugar cookie with sprinkles. If that’s not your speed, I’d figure out a different treat! If you visit NYC or Boston, hit me up, both are easy trips for meeting bloggers 🙂

Ah parking… It’s horrible here. People park on the street so the plows can’t get through. darn. and girl, I’m all about Kahlua flavored coffee. or just plain kahlua.

I know exactly that feeling of putting certain expectations on yourself and then feeling stressed out about it. Some days I try so hard not to worry about the toys all over the living room or the newspaper that my husband has scattered acros the kitchen table but I always give in to having to clean it up.
Enjoy the snow, looks like your daughter is having a blast 🙂

I’m still trying to find the balance while still keeping my sanity. Such is life I suppose. I’m fine with the snow- I just hate when it melts into slush. yuck

We are not snowed in, but we got a sheet of ice. So no school for the littles. I do try and clean up my kitchen and front/room living room before bed every night because I feel less stressed in the morning, but some nights I’m just done. And those things don’t get done and I just have to deal with it.

It is all about finding balance. I love waking up to a clean house but some nights the idea of cleaning makes me want to cry. So I just go to sleep instead. ha.

Ahhh…I’m so glad I found you through Coffee Dates! I feel like I was just agreeing with everything you said. We have so much in common. Our daughters are almost the same and and I’m training for a half too. Is it your first?

So glad you stopped by! This is actually my second half and I attempted a full last year but got pulled off the course at mile 21 because of time limits (I was slow). What race are you running?!

I did a 10K last spring and thanks to midwest winter I’m working back up to that. I would really like to be able to get to a half by fall.

I haven’t had a “snow day” since…oh goodness…um, 1995…when I lived in Boston.
I kinda miss that warmth of it – hot cocoa and then shuffling through the snow.
Weird I know…but living in sunny all.the.time Cali makes you miss snow:)
