FRIDAY! Ah- how I love Fridays. It is the start of the weekend (YES!) and it means it is time for our Coffee Date! I really look forward to these times. I love being able to chat with you about what is going on. It’s so… relaxed! Pull up a seat, grab a warm cup of joe and let’s chat…
There is just SO much I wish I would have known.
That I wouldn’t marry “that guy”
That I shouldn’t take myself too seriously
That I was going to LOVE running.
That I would write. and Often.
That I didn’t know it all.
That God had bigger plans for me than I had for myself.
That I am Capable of so much more than I thought.
I thought I was so smart – but I didn’t have a clue. Ha.
I know I said I hadn’t made coffee yet, and that was true- But I quickly fixed that. Today I’m drinking my Green Mountain Wild Blueberry Fair Trade Certified Coffee that I was sent to try out from BzzAgent (#gotitfree)
love this mug from my BFF Kylen.
Did you know October is Fair Trade Month? Buying Fair Trade Certified Products, like Green Mountain Coffee, help to protect the environment and improve the lives of those who produce the products. Buying Fair trade certified products can also help support education and provide health care in the communities as well.
Want to know more about Fair Trade or are you interested in finding out how to reduce your slavery footprint? Check out my friend Jen over at Extra*Ordinary, she’s doing a 31 day series on it!
Your turn- If we were having coffee what would you tell me?
Do you try to buy fair trade certified?

I love this, Courtney! Love this coffee date idea! 🙂
Thanks Jen! Thanks for sharing on how to reduce slavery footprints this month- I’m loving it!
Hey, Court! I love getting to “chat” with you. Glad your shoulder is healing up!
In junior high and high school, I was the musical theatre queen. I planned to major in musical theatre and end up on Broadway. Instead, I am now a happily married accountant (!!) with a fitness blog on the side. I get to volunteer a few times a week with a local youth musical theatre class, and I never knew I’d prefer directing and choreographing to performing! Go figure.
Have a great weekend, girl!
Oh wow- From Musical Theater to Accounting… ha! that is a crazy change! Isn’t it funny how there is SO much pressure to decide what you’re going to be when you “grow up” when really what you’re going to be really just kinda happens. Oh those young kids who think they have it all figured out. I used to try to explain to them that they had no idea. They don’t listen (I didn’t either) so now I just giggle and nod.
I love this idea. I normally watch your videos every Saturday morning… here in Japan.. while I drink my coffee. :]
When I was in HS, I played soccer and basketball and loved it. Well until my Sophomore year when a teacher called me fat. Then I felt really insecure about myself and I didn’t go out for any more sports. Even though I had been playing both of those sports since I was in Elementary School.
I too also thought that I had life figured out. I always though that I would teach in America. But, I knew that I was called to live in Japan at some point in my life. It is so crazy that that point is now.
Hope you’re weekend is great!
It’s so crazy how life works itself out. Glad you join me for coffee!
