Summer Travels
http://member.clevergirlscollective.com/track?u=10185&g=1074 Traveling is one of my all time favorite things to do. Not only do you get to disconnect from the every day hustle and bustle and recharge, but you also get to experience new things and make memories with your family. We have made travel a priority and have worked hard to make vacations a special experience for our family. Aside from plain old hard work you can also make planning vacations a little easier by using travel rewards Credit Cards, like the Discover It Miles Card. It has no annual fee, the miles never expire, and you can fly any airline at any time! Just use it for…

Black Ops Murph 2015
I know It’s super late to be posting about Memorial Day… but better late than never, right? This was such a cool experience I had to share it! I’m also working on a recap from our Mexico Vacation, and update on my hormones, and a 1 year post op update from my abdominoplasty! So much awesomeness coming your way… I hope you’re ready! Each Memorial Day for the past several years we have hosted a workout to honor the fallen. The workout we do is a Hero WOD called Murph. CrossFit has several bench mark workouts, some called “The Girls” and then there are Hero WODs which are made to honor…

Small Changes Add Up
Oh hey. It’s been a minute…. oooor a month. I didn’t mean for that to happen. I had huge plans to write a ton while we were on vacation in Mexico last month but… we were on vacation in Mexico! So, Tequila happened. And so did laying by the pool for hours on end. It was amazing and I’m planning on writing a whole post about it. I have started to write a few times since then but every time I start to write it seems like the words evaporate. I haven’t even posted much on Instagram lately, and I was addicted to Instagram! Aside from being stupid busy trying to…

Vacation Every Day
http://member.clevergirlscollective.com/track?u=10185&g=1043 It is no secret that we love our vacations! One of the things we decided was important to us as a family was going out of the way to make special memories and experience new things. For the last several years we have made it a point to have at least one family vacation. Living in the midwest we find ourselves aching for a tropical getaway, so most of our trips have been to the beach, on a cruise, or some other warm and sunny climate. A born and raised Florida girl living in Missouri, I crave the beach! Vacation memories are filled with the smell of sunscreen, the warmth of…

Life is more than THAT MOMENT
We dream of it so long. Plan it out. Play it over in our minds. What the “after” is going to look like. What it feels like when we have “made it” and are finally successful. I guess in all those years of dreaming and planning and imagining THAT MOMENT that I never thought about what the next day would look like. But What happens after that? As a little girl I dreamt of my wedding day. I loved the jewelry and the ballgowns and spent so long dreaming of THAT MOMENT when I’d walk down the aisle. I watched every.single.episode of TLC’s A Wedding Story. When life happend different than…

Finding Me
Oh, Hey there. Remember me? I’ve been pretty absent here, but not without reason. If I’m being totally honest I’ve struggled with the whole “healthy living blogger” label lately. When I started blogging about my weight loss journey it was to inspire others and keep myself accountable. My intentions have always been genuine. I never once wanted people to think there was only one way to lose weight, exercise, or eat. I just wanted to share that “hey, this is what I’m trying” – and I’ve tried a lot. I’ve vascilated from super strict paleo/whole 30 to a prescribed meal plan from a nutrition coach, to counting calories and…

Total Body Tabata
📌 Editor’s Note (2025):This post reflects a time when my work was centered on physical health and performance. At the time, high-intensity workouts and structured movement were how I found strength and purpose.Since then, my focus has shifted. I’ve transitioned from fitness coaching to clinical mental health, and my training now centers around trauma, nervous system regulation, and emotional wellbeing.I’m keeping this post available for those who still find value in movement-based routines. But if you’re looking for current content on healing, mental health, and the connection between body and mind, you can find that here. This post may contain affiliate links. Twenty-Eight
Yesterday was a special day… my birthday! My twenty-eighth birthday to be exact. Birthdays have always been fun to me. They are another day to celebrate and look back on the past year and set goals for the year ahead. I have a blurred memory of lots of my birthdays growing up… the first one I remember was when I was 4. I remember getting this big brown teddy bear that I actually may still have in the basement… There was one that was a surprise party on Easter Sunday, that may have been my 7th I think. I had my easter dress, bonnet, and gloves on and heard the…

Fitness Outside The Box and Other Ramblings
Sometimes when I stay quiet on the blog for too long it is because I don’t feel like I have anything deep or profound to say. Just because I don’t currently have something deep, profound, or emotional to say doesn’t mean I don’t have anything to say at all. So today I feel like rambling on about random things…. Did I ever tell you about the time I won the USSF Missouri State Weightlifting Championship? Last summer right before my surgery I spent a good 6 weeks on a dedicated Weightlifting Programing Cycle. We heard about a local meet going down and decided to sign up. There was like 8 of…

What The CrossFit Open Means to Me
If you are a part of the CrossFit community, or you know someone who is, you are probably aware that this week marks the beginning of the CrossFit Open. The CrossFit Open is a 5 week competition where they release one workout a week for 5 weeks and if you register you can submit your score to be ranked among athletes in your region and worldwide. The top tier of athletes from each region will compete at the regionals, and the top tier of athletes from the regional competition get to go on to compete in the annual CrossFit Games in Carson, California over the summer. For many of the elite…
