On May 17th the National Restaurant Association hosted it’s annual conference in Chicago. At the conference they recognized all the winners of the Kids LiveWell Recipe Challenge. On hand to help with the awards was celebrity chef Robert Irvine
I absolutely love that they had some big names on hand to talk about how important it is to teach our kids proper nutrition! If we don’t start teaching them healthy habits now it is going to be even harder to get them to learn about healthy eating in the future. As the mom of a 4 year old I love being able to offer her healthy options when we go out to eat. Chicken nuggets and fries seem to be the standard. If there are more exciting healthy options it would be easier to get them to choose that! Sure you can always get a grilled chicken salad, but that does’t sound as exciting as the Do-Re-For-Me Sandwich, now does it? Check out the winners recipes below and pin them so you can make them for your kiddos!
If you’re looking for a local resturant that offers Kids LiveWell Choices, be sure to check out the website. Or you could look for the Kids LiveWell logo on the menu! I found it at Bob Evans!

Which of These Sound the Best to you? How do you choose what your child eats when you go out?
Oh my gosh, I love these creative names!
