Weekly Workout Recap

Hello Friends. There is no graceful way to transition from yesterdays post back to “normal”. I spent extra time yesterday with Little Dreamer. Watching her play with her hair, helping her blow dry it after bath time, and spending some quality cuddle time together. I had some long papers to write for school, but somehow it just didn’t seem to matter as much.


Since I missed our weekly workout recap yesterday I’ve got it for you today. I know you’re dying to see my workouts.

Monday 12/10 – CrossFit

3 x 3 strict press
3 rounds for time of:
400 meter row
15 toes to bar
20 power/muscle/squat snatch
RX 75/55, RX++ 95/65
Post WOD
Tabata Slammers 10/20/30/40/50

Figures after Saturday’s Snatch Fest there would be snatches in the WOD. Add in the toes to bar and you have a perfect recipe for tears. Awesome.


Tuesday 12/11 – CrossFit

EMOM for 15 min do 2 hang cleans at
70%-75% of 1 RM
AMRAP for 10 min of:
10 power cleans 95/65
30 Du’s

-With the rips on my hands gripping the bar was tough. I did well with the strength but only got through 2 rounds of the WOD. At least I looked cute in my WODink long sleeve tshirt.


Wednesday 12/12/12!! – Run 1.75 milespink.

I found this compression jacket on clearance at Old Navy. It matches perfectly with my neon SweatyBands. By the way, I have a coupon code for 5% off! Go get some, these are awesome!

Thursday 12/13- CrossFit

So- I set my alarm. It went off. I turned it off instead of pushing snooze. I woke up at 4:55 and made it to CrossFit by 5:10. Awesome.

Split jerks 5 x 3
Cash in: 1000 meter row
Jumping squats
Plyo Pushups

Friday 12/14- CrossFit

Deadlifts 3 x 5
5 rounds for time of:
5 power cleans 135/95
10 lateral bar hops
5 push press 135/95
10 pull ups
Post WOD
Bar holds

I totally felt strong during the deadlifts. Check out how hardcore I am. haha. That was 165 I think… My max is 200. Also- I hate lateral bar hops, but not nearly as much as bar facing burpees. Yuck.


And guess what came in the mail on Friday afternoon? My Polar Heart Rate Monitor! I cannot tell you how excited I was. Seriously. I have always wondered exactly what kind of burn I get while doing CrossFit. Now I’ll know!


Saturday 12/15- CrossFit

TGU’s 5 x 3 each arm AHAP
Partner WOD
AMRAP for 20 min of:
250 meter row
15 kb ground to overhead 53/35
10 box jumps
Only one partner works at a time

I used to hate Partner WODs. Now I love them. Lisa has been my partner the last few times. We are good partners, power to the shorties! We did this work out RX (as prescribed) and it burned so good. Check out that Calorie Burn!!! I also tried the Sunwarrior Protein sample that came in my Bulu Box. I liked it! I also wore my favorite WODlove tank… It says “Your Mom didn’t warn you about these Girls” and lists the girl workout names on the back. LOVE.


Sunday- Rest Day

You notice I only went running once. Ooops. Not sure my 40 mile goal is going to happen. I’ve been having issues with my tailor’s bunion. Any tips on dealing with that? It freaking hurts, especially when I run.

    1. Oh girl – you would have died. She was in the bathroom yelling “THIS ONE OR THIS ONE?!!” Talking about her headband or the crown you gave her! And crusty workout hands are the best. Except when they hurt.

  2. Once I saw your photo or your deadlift, and blisters…I was like…So Cool. I’m in training now to see If I can ever do a strongman/gal event. I maxed just today 205lbs dead lift twice after my 3rd week in. this blog seems very inspiring. Keep up the awesomeness.


    1. Thanks!! It’s been a long journey. I just maxed out my Deadlift at 205 and I’ve been doing it for 8 months! Impressive! Keep it up and let me know if you have any questions!
