I’m Courtney Feldman, or imperfectly courtney, as I’m known around certain parts of the internet.
I am mom to a sassy 10 year old girl (who will always be my boo bear) and also to the world’s most adorable rescue pup, my Harley girl. I have a wonderful boyfriend, the artist, who brings so much love, laughter, and adventure to my life.
I got married at 20 and divorced at 30. I graduated with my Master’s in Counseling in March of 2019, began my PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision in August 2019, and am currently a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) in the state of Missouri.
Writing has always been something that I have loved. I have been writing in diaries since I was little girl, graduating to journals as a teenager (because it sounded way more mature). I rode the online self-expression train from geocities to xanga eventually moving to myspace and facebook notes… eventually starting my own blog around 2009 as a way of keeping my family up to date on my pregnancy and my growing baby girl. Since 2009 my life has changed course approximately a gazillion times and so has my little slice of the internet, but one thing has stayed the same… writing has been the compass I use to ground myself.
I believe we all have stories to tell and that sharing our stories is one of the most powerful ways to facilitate genuine human connection. This virtual living room is intended to be a welcoming place where you celebrate your imperfections and are loved exactly as you are.
