Under Armour Spine RPM Review

When I used to think of Under Armour I would think of those skin tight shirts the football players wear under their uniforms. More recently the UA Hoodies became crazy popular. I knew they had workout clothing, I just never thought about them having shoes. I was contacted by Under Armour asking if I’d be interested in reviewing one of their products and immediately the shoes stuck out to me, I mean, How could they not? They are hot pink and teal – the best color combo out there! Check out the Under Armour Spine RPM Running Shoes

I was so excited when they arrived at my house, something about the Under Armour logo makes me feel so tough. I sat and looked at the box for .04 seconds before ripping into it. I had to see these pink beauties for myself!!

Even with a tough looking logo like that, there is no denying these shoes are incredibly beautiful! The pink and teal are just as vivid in real life as in the picture. Neon is the new black, right? Good news is they match with most of my pink workout gear! As soon as I opened them I put them on and walked around the house for a bit. They fit true to size, I wear an 8.5 in most shoes and this was no different. What I noticed right away was that these had the same feeling of support that my old Nike Pegasus shoes had, but they are a lot lighter.

I took them out for my longest run since like June, a 4 miler! They felt super comfortable from the first step, and didn’t rub the back of my heels (which is a problem I have had with previous “new” shoes). I was so proud of myself for going the first 2 miles with the stroller and then going back out for another 2 solo. I don’t know if it was just because I have wider feet, but the laces seemed a bit short which made it hard to tie them tight. I had to retie them a few times, but I finally figured out how to keep them tied.

They are pretty flexible, which makes it easy to push off with your toes when running. They have great traction as well. The Spine RPM isn’t the only shoe that Under Armour makes – They have all sorts of running and training shoes.

  1. I haven’t tried the UA shoes yet, but I love everything else they make. They’re pretty much the only brand of athletic gear I wear now. Hope you’re enjoying the shoes. I’ll certainly have to try and win the pair you giveaway later in the month!

  2. I love those pink shoes! I did know that Under Armour had shoes and now it’s nice to know your opinion about them.

By the way, I love those tight shirts. They make them in all kinds of great colors and they’re perfect for running in the winter, either alone or under another top.

  4. Being a Baltimore girl, I am familiar with all things UA. But being a minimalist runner, I’m still waiting for them to come up with a “less shoe” version of their running shoes. UA–is it coming??

Great review (and I do love the color)

  5. They are very cute – and I know they are great shoes! My husband did a review of the men’s version a few weeks ago and a giveaway too. He loves them!
